A malware that aims to steal the credentials of STEAM users has cropped up recently. This malware is being spread via the service’s chat feature. It asks users to click on a link which is shortened using the shortening services available on internet. When the user clicks on it, it gets directed to a file stored on Google drive. The file appears to be an image file, complete with an image icon on it....

Michigan police have recently asked the computer scientists at the Michigan State University to produce a 3D model of a fingerprint to unlock a victim’s iPhone and disclose clues that could help solve an open murder case. In other words, they are attempting to make a 3D replica of a dead man’s fingers in order to access his device. The victim’s body was apparently too decayed for a fingerprint to be directly applied to the iPhone, but the police already had a scan of the victim’s fingerprints from when the man was arrested in a previous case....

For those unaware, Astra Linux is a Debian-based Linux operating system developed to meet the needs of the Russian army, other armed forces and intelligence agencies. One of LinkedIn’s possible suitors whom Microsoft beat was the American cloud computing company Salesforce. Perhaps the LinkedIn promoters feared uncertainties of a stock-and-cash deal offered by Salesforce. The South Korean company, Samsung has announced that it will begin supplying its “Safety Truck” worldwide after four months of reliability testing. For those unaware, DeX is a docking station for the Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ and Galaxy Note 8 smartphones that allows you to plug the device to an external display, power, Ethernet, and USB devices, which in turn offer users an Android-based desktop-like experience. Until now, Galaxy S8/S8+ and Note 8 users have been able to run Android apps in this desktop environment using DeX, but now the users will be able to convert their device into a GNU/Linux PC....
